As mentioned in another thread, after getting 18 reps @ bw + 20 lbs., I started, then abandoned, a cycle @ bw + 25 lbs. and started up with bw + 30 lbs.
Last week was the first of my weekly quasi-max tests and I got 9 reps. Today, again with someone counting for me, I got 12. The goal is 18, will probably take a few cycles of 3 weeks on, 1 week off, to get there. Both of the last two have been easy max attempts but next week I'll try to go all out if I feel good.
As usual, all reps strict "tactical" pullup - chin touches bar at top, elbows locked at bottom. I followed the PU set w/ a few bw pistols, an 8-rep chinup set w/ the same weight, another pistol each side, and a few windmills w/ the same dumbbell. Enough for today.
Training is my usual, mostly one set each day of PU and CU using a 44 lb. kettlebell on a dipping belt.
